Blackburn’s Prophetic Witness

I attended the Blackburn branch of the Prophetic Witness Movement International held at the town’s Baptist Church on Saturday. Pastor Robert Cooper of the West Midlands led two interesting sessions on David’s throne and Christ’s kingdom. As well as being somewhat entranced by Colin Le Noury’s beautiful, resonating voice, I was truly blessed by looking forward to Messiah’s return. Every generation fancies itself as the one to which Christ shall come. Yet so many of the signs of His advent seem to be fulfilled in our time. I believe ours are like the days of Lot in which people live for pleasure, rebelling against the Creator’s reproductive ordering. Likewise, we live in days like Noah’s, wherein a majority of people ignore or ridicule the very idea of God’s coming judgement and offers of salvation. Furthermore, many in the Church are sleeping and are running out of oil.

“Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” Revelation 16:15
