Breaking into Buckingham Palace

The BBC is reporting that a man was today arrested for climbing over the gates of Buckingham Palace in order to commit criminal trespass. Crackpots are often attempting to do such things. One got as far as Her Majesty's bedroom in 1982, and allegedly sat on her bed, though the intruder, Michael Fagan, claimed in a 2012 interview that the Queen immediately left the room to alert security.

The irony is that 30,000 members of the public attend the Royal Palaces each year for garden parties in addition to those who purchase tickets as tourists. They are invited, where as today's visitor was not. In John 10:1, Jesus says "Truly I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber." The Queen invites her guests; anyone who attends without such an invitation is an intruder and unwelcome. Likewise, the Lord Jesus only admits those to heaven whom He chooses to invite. And those whom He invites do not always attend, for many are called, but few are chosen. Of this, however, be assured. You'll never enter heaven unless you use the correct gate- the death and resurrection of Christ. If you seek entry by any other means, you are an intruder, a thief and a robber, for you seek to take what can never be yours.
