Gracious Rotarians

Tonight I took a school group to York to participate in a public speaking competition. It was organised by the Rotary Club, an organisation I have heard of but about which I knew very little. In fact, I assumed it was a bit like the Freemasons, but without the daft rituals and quasi-religious paraphernalia.

Having done a little research, I come away impressed. Although a secular group, it does much to promote goodness and integrity not only in Britain but around the globe. It is truly a token of God's common grace, whether or not Rotarians themselves are able to acknowledge it.
