Seeking Falsehood

I received some sound advice via email this month regarding the possibility of online financial fraud:

Stay Calm: It's essential not to panic and take measured steps to address the situation.

Secure Your Account: Change your wallet's password and enable any available security features.

Contact Support: Reach out to our support team at support@*****.com for further assistance in recovering your lost funds.

Ironically, these pearls were found in a phishing email, designed to do the very thing which the lines above purport to remedy. By adding some truth and sagacity, the greater the deception. Remember this when you encounter the ‘gospel’ when explained and promulgated by cults, counterfeits and loony-tune churches; much that they say is correct, and they will even warn you against false teaching. When we examine a list of ingredients, however, it is those to which we are allergic for which we are on the lookout, not those with which we have no difficulty. Similarly, do not focus upon those areas of agreement but of disagreement; it is falsehood that harms and destroys, so that is what we should be highlighting.

But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber. 2 Peter 2, New King James Version
