I called at Mr Brewer’s farm near Sedbergh last month. I wished to see the Bible text he had attached to his barn. This, and the one found on the Fawcett land at Long Preston, was the inspiration for our more modest banner, currently fastened to our railings.

Ukrainian flags might be inspirational, and flower beds are gorgeous, but it would be a fine thing for more churches and Christian businesses to display God’s own word.
