Borough Market

Borough Market is one of the highlights of Southwark. Although few items of 'street food' could be obtained for less than ten pounds, it was all of a high quality and from around the world, a microcosm of the global London which sprawls about it. Although the market occupied its current site from only 1756, it likely goes back to before 1014, trading food for pennies at the southern end of London Bridge. Whatever the changing fashions, politics and trends, humans will always want food, and will pay more for that which is tasty and healthy. Some marvel at the Bible’s continued status as the world’s most published book, but those who read it and believe testify, to the spiritual health, succour, nourishment and pleasure it gives. Novels and books of poetry may be interesting, but only the Bible is enlightening. For this, it is worth paying; in 52 countries, owning a copy will see one gaoled.

How sweet are Your words to my taste, Sweeter than honey to my mouth! Psalm 119:103
