Humza's Humbug

The government of Humza Yousaf, the increasingly clown-like First Minister of Scotland, is having to pay a £150,000 legal bill. The (slightly) wiser politicians at Westminster opposed his party’s and government’s plans to introduce its Gender Recognition Reform (Scotland) Bill which would have made ‘transitioning’ from one gender to the other ridiculously easy (assuming such a thing is actually possible). The Scottish Secretary, the Rt Hon Alister Jack, said that the UK Government would seek its legal costs be covered for having been taken to court by the Scottish government in its legal challenges.

I hope the Scottish electorate realises the ‘go woke, go broke’ mantra. Yousaf, of course, will merely raise extra tax to pay for it, and then complain that the British government is not giving Scotland sufficient financial support. The more I know of the SNP, the more I can sympathise with old Solomon's remark in Ecclesiastes 7:25:

I applied my heart to know, to search and seek out wisdom and the reason of things, to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness.
