Nine Ladies

Nine ladies dancing may refer to the nine listed fruits of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

I am not much of a dancer. I was once involved with the am-dram world and had to sing and dance in Hello Dolly! My coordination was limited, and my ability to move in time and smile simultaneously was severely retarded. All nine ‘fruits’ are to be exhibited by the Spirit-filled believer, not just the preferred or well-practised. Furthermore, nine dancing ladies must coordinate with each other; if you can detect the Spirit’s fruit within you, but those around you cannot, ask yourself who is likely mistaken.
