Parking in South Kesteven

Two men inspecting a parking meter. The photograph of this shall win few awards. The one on the right is pastor of Bourne Evangelical Church, and he is assisting the older gentleman to fathom the inexplicabe complexity of a South Kesteven parking meter. I have often wondered why cash-strapped local authorities seem determined to make as difficult as possible the task of charging car owners for permission to park. The transaction complete and ticket issued, both gents went about their respective business.

The older gentleman's helper could also have explained the unnerving prospect of death, judgement and resurrection. While there are still churches in this land, Bibles atop shelves and pastors about, the ignorant, dying people of this nation are without excuse. Eternal life is a much simpler concept than the workings of a carpark’s charging policy, and tremendously more important.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16, New King James Version
