Worth the Travel

Whitby’s Magpie fish and chip café and takeaway is the best in the country. Making such a claim is nonsense, of course, unless I have sampled every establishment in the land (a task to which my spirit is willing, but my finances and waistline are weak). Nevertheless, I secretly wonder if part of Whitby’s allure is the fine chippy by its harbour. For good food and drink, one will travel.

It is sometimes wondered why so many folk at Salem Chapel travel to attend church. Spiritual food, like its physical counterpart, is always worth the journey. We get to the point at which we tire of Pot Noodles and microwaved, frozen dinners; good fayre is worth the mileage.
