Interviewing the Skies

Regulars will know that we have been seeking an assistant pastor to progress the work at Salem Chapel and to commence a work in Burnley. Several expressions of interest were received, and two actual applications submitted. One we interviewed after he preached (another awaits). Nowhere was quiet and devoid of people, which would have made an interview, even an informal one, more difficult. I therefore resorted to moving chairs into the graveyard and holding the discussions between the elders and the gentleman out of doors. Although the gravestones might have proved initially off-putting, the glorious views reminded each of us that God is good, and that the good work He began at Salem 210 years ago He will see through to completion.
