Recalling Rainbows

After Friday’s coffee morning, a great, full-sized rainbow was observed in the skies about Salem Chapel. On closer inspection, a second could be seen, above it, running parallel. It was rather beauitful, and made the thick cloud and rainy sky a fair price to pay for so cheering a sight.

The rainbow has been seized and confiscated in recent years, sequestered by sexual ideologues and, in 2020, by grateful devotees of the NHS, the national cult and killer of the unborn. Baal and Molech may try to steal great Jehovah’s symbol of covenanted mercy to Noah, but only He can ride the storm and offer peace in a tempest:

The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. Nahum 1:3
