St Margaret’s Hope’s Hope

Some Lord’s Days back, I worshipped with the Brethren at the Orkney village of St Margaret’s Hope. It was a very simple service of breaking bread and prayer, no man being able or led to preach. Yet Christian fellowship is always sweet, and a corner of that village was particularly uplifting. Persons unknown had made a little gospel witness. Its earnest simplicity was heartwarming, and offered that village its hope in deed as well as name.
