Tartin Mop: Holy Months & Sacred Seasons

The deacons and minister of Ichabod Chapel are so excited that the Holy Month of Pride has begun. To show that churches can keep apace with the wider world’s direction of travel, we thought it would be helpful if we could associate other cardinal virtues with the other months of the year. Thus:

Pride (June- so hot!)

Greed (December- Xmas Shopping)

Lust (February- Valentine's Day)

Anger (May- Elections)

Envy (January- all the sales and seeing others’ presents)

Gluttony (also December)

Sloth (August)

By formally incorporating these wonderful, modern virtues into our annual calendars, we can better practise them and hone their application. That way, we now have six holy months and not just one, for six is our favourite number.
