5000 Leaflets

Salem is the only church in the Ribble Valley, with the exceptions of our two sister Congregational chapels at Hurst Green and Inglewhite, to support the Billy Graham Organisation’s Festival of Hope this month. Not wishing the people of Clitheroe to be denied an invitation, we decided to leaflet as many areas as we could. Rather ambitiously, we ordered 5000 leaflets. As a small church, I doubted we had the man-power to shift even half that number, but remarkably, they’ve all gone out. I know 1100 were delivered in last week’s pouring rain, such is our members’ determination to see people won for Christ.

I can’t comment on other churches’ apparent neglect of this great evangelistic opportunity; that’s something between them and the Saviour for which they may be called to give account. We are just encouraged that a number of people have already responded to those leaflets and are set to come to Blackpool with us. If you would like to reserve a space on our coach, for which there is no charge, please email coaches@martintop.org.uk .

And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. Acts 13:48
