Cuthbert's Blackpool: Who Thinks of This?

The Parish of the Guardian Angels: Church of St Cuthbert, is a bit of a mouthful, and belongs to a Roman Catholic church located on Blackpool’s south shore. For a building belonging to such a denomination, I thought it remarkably restrained, although a large crucifix adorned the north gable end. Across the road was a woke Anglican church with its compulsory rainbow flag, so St Cuthbert’s had a more dignified air in comparison.
Below the said crucifix, which must be life-sized, was an inscription:
WHO
THINKS
OF
THIS
The absence of a question mark might render it a statement, Who being a person’s name, or the infamous World Health Organisation. I very much doubt the people behind the latter have very much regard for Christ and His death. Perhaps there was just not room for the ‘?’.
Presumably, its purpose is to spur Catholics and shirkers into considering the Cross of Jesus Christ, which I consider quite commendable. The problem is that Rome thinks of it in the wrong way. Instead of seeing the Cross as a wonderful moment of victory, of full payment made, of wrath satisfied, it is instead for them a continuing saga of repetition and re-enaction each time they go to Mass. The payment was only partial; it must be supplemented, topped-up, added to and improved. Who thinks of this?
