Drawing from Ignorance

This is my offering from our chapel party on 31st December. We were asked to draw a parlour scene complete with fireside and Christmas tree. You can just make out the hearth and one of the presents wrapped in a bow, but the rest is not so clear. Although I have never claimed to be an aspiring artist, I ought to explain that we had been instructed to hold a paper plate to our heads and draw upon it with our free hand. Although mine was inferior to my neighbours’, I still think its quality can be excused.

Too often, we assume, act and form opinions without being able to see properly. To the great God, who sees all, including past, present and future in one viewing, we presume to offer advice on how He runs His business.

‘Job speaks without knowledge,

His words are without wisdom.’ Job 34:35
