Lancaster Free Methodist

Last night I spoke and led communion at Lancaster Free Methodist Church. The fellowship is located close to the centre of a University City. The congregation is a genuine mix of age ranges, and they are looking forward to the arrival of a new pastor next month. Although it is much changed, it brought back good memories as this is the church at which I grew up. I sat in the same place I used to sit as a teenager twenty years ago and presided over the Lord's Supper where once I served as a nervous communion steward, fretting over not dropping the tray of cups I was passing around. I owe a debt of gratitude to that church and its people (many of whom of course I no longer know, and they don't know me).

As their new pastor arrives and the church seeks God's guidance, we at Salem pray God's blessing upon them. Their website is here: http://www.lfmc.co.uk/ The church is now called Hope Church Lancaster.
