Macron: Searching for the Antichrist

I haven't seen evidence of it yet, but I know it's going to happen. A great many Christians are looking for the antichrist. This is some world ruler whose wickedness will immediately herald the return of Christ. I imagine the patter of podgy fingers on keyboards, as second-coming experts begin suggesting that the new French President, Emmanuel Macron, is he. Why will he prove so irresistible a choice?

  • He's good looking and charming. Antichrists really ought to have these qualities, especially in public.
  • He's apparently come from nowhere, and has gained great power against all odds.
  • He's all things to all men: neither left wing nor right wing, offering peace and prosperity within a federal Europe.
  • He's called Emmanuel- God with us- in Hebrew. The false Christ will surely claim deity, appropriating for himself Christ's titles.
  • He worked for the Rothschilds banking corporation, a must for all antichrists with their love of global financial domination.
Forgive my flippancy. Unlike some, I believe the antichrist will come. He's not some long-dead Roman emperor, neither is he a system or organisation. I do not, however, believe he is one for whom we should be seeking and searching. It is Christ Himself we should be looking for, not His imposters and impersonators.

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Col. 3:1
