Trustees' Meeting

Last night, I attended the annual meeting of the chapel trustees. This is a group of people legally entrusted to administer the chapel's property and existence on behalf of the members. It has been in existence for 200 years, and is mostly made up of chapel members. It is successfully chaired by Mr Bill Smith and is supported by local butcher Mr Roy Porter, of Joyful Noise fame. As new pastor, I'm not a trustee but am invited to the meetings. It was rather refeshing not to have to chair it and prepare for it, but just sit down and offer my two-penneth when I so felt the need.
