Vaxports

The petty tyrannies which seem to have taken the reins of government in Scotland and Wales are insisting on Vaccine Passports. Without proof of vaccination, Scots cannot attend large public venues; from 15th November, Welshmen won’t be able to attend the theatre or cinema without proving they have received the vaccine. Thankfully, the Westminster Parliament, which has sole responsibility for England, imposes no such restrictions, and has dropped what plans it had. That having a medical certification should determine whether I can attend this or that venue is a disgrace. Why sensible Scots and Welsh are not planning to turf out their respective governing parties next May, I do not know. This pandemic has been a wonderful opportunity for the little hitlers of local and regional governments to flex their muscles and prove their power.

If and when the prospect rises of ‘vaccine passports’ becoming compulsory for church attendance, we must resist it. We should all come and hear God’s word preached, regardless of medical status. Big, powerful government is usually the enemy of gospel freedom. Limited government, with checks and balances, acknowledging its position 'under God', makes for healthier governance, happier citizens and greater liberty to share God's truth.

Then the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And all dominions shall serve and obey Him. Daniel 7:27
