White Clover

We well as enjoying the presence of Red Clover in my local fields, White Clover is also very much present. Not only does it feed the bees which help feed the world, but the University of Michigan lists the other benefits the little plant bestows on the land, including:

  • Its prevention of soil erosion on account of its thick root system
  • It provision of protein to grazing livestock
  • Its transformation of nitrogen gas in the soil’s air pockets into stable organic compounds that nourishes the ground.

The flowers are beautiful and useful. May we Christians learn from this lily of the field. Do not just take away from other Christians and the local church, but put more back. Be useful, as well as beautiful, to God and His people.
